BBT hits the Beaverhead in Dillon, MT.

I started out this morning with a big black and yellow, not much success. The water was high and clear surrounded by ice and snow. Wading right now is a little tough but manageable. I changed over to a natural rabbit, let it drift into the first pool and he nailed it. These fish have had plenty of rest the last 2 months due to sub-zero temperatures. He bolted down river with one good head shake. I land him and released a nice 18-inch brown. The second cast into the pool I thought the rod was going out of my hands, he @#$%#@!# nailed it! This fish had some power; he took off like a bat out of hell down river. I finally managed to land him, a nice 20-inch brown. My hands were wet and I was ready for a shot of something warm (anything over 80 proof will do the trick). So if you are in the Dillon area check out the water its fishing great. Try streamers, natural in color and hang on BBT
